Property and Liability
Property coverage includes such items as your buildings, contents, signs, property in the open, and fences. Your policy will automatically include coverage for standard items, along with many non-standard items, such as the following:
Protects the church from liability arising out of normal business operations including: bodily injury, property damage, personal injury, libel, slander, contractual liability, copyright infringement and medical payments. Provides Liability, Comprehensive, Collision, and Medical coverage for all designated church owned vehicles. This policy fits over and extends your comprehensive general liability, comprehensive automobile liability, and employers liability to the limit indicated. The umbrella is broader than the basic policy, excess of the basic policy. Directors and Officers Liability Legal defense and liability protection for covered financial damages claims that result from covered leadership decisions made on behalf of the church. For example: Using funds budgeted or donated for one purpose in another way, discriminating in membership, exceeding authority granted by by-laws, failing to maintain adequate financial records, conflict of interest, removal of personnel, etc. Employment Practices Liability Legal defense and liability protection for covered damages sustained by a past or present employee or job applicant due to employment discrimination, termination, harassment or other wrongful employment act or practice. Example: Unjust demotion, failure to promote, requests for sexual favors (employment related), age discrimination, and failure to follow ADA rules, violation of EEOC guidelines. Legal defense and liability protection for covered damages, including emotional injury resulting from sexual acts. Risk Management In the State of California, Worker’s Compensation insurance is mandatory insurance coverage which must be carried by all churches with employees regardless of the number of hours employees work and whether they are permanent, part-time or only occasional workers. Non-Owned/Hired Automobile Provides coverage for your legal liability for injury to the rights and interests of employees or their beneficiaries arising out of improper advice, error or omission in the administration of employee benefits programs. Electronic Data Processing Equipment Provides coverage for electronic data processing equipment and electronic media and records including programmable electronic equipment used to store, retrieve and process data, peripheral equipment (i.e., printer), data stored on such media, recording and storage media (i.e., tapes, discs). Insurance coverage for covered injuries during the hours and days when school is in session and while attending or participating in school sponsored and supervised activities, on or off school premises. Also covers travel during such activities in transportation furnished or arranged by the school. Includes participation in interscholastic sports including football. Includes summer recreation activities, travel to and from school, including religious services and necessary travel as defined by the policy. Legal defense and liability protection for covered damages, including emotional injury, resulting from counseling acts performed by pastoral or lay counselors or lay advisors. Provides coverage for loss of money, securities and other property which the church shall sustain resulting from one or more fraudulent or dishonest acts committed by an employee, volunteer, acting alone or in collusion with others. Mechanical Electrical Breakdown Provides coverage for equipment exposures that are not covered by most property policies. Special coverage for electrical failure and mechanical breakdown are included but not limited to heating, air conditioning, lighting, electrical panels as well as refrigeration units. Your church may have special outreaches to the community. We can provide coverage for your particular event (additional premium may apply). |
